Happy Floam Day!
Hi everyone! Today I’m really excited to be showing and participating in Floam Day. First off, I think it’s a really awesome idea of Polly Polish to have a signup sheet on her site so people can get notifications of special days when the nail and beauty bloggers wear a certain kind of polish. I think it’s super fun and a great way to connect with other bloggers.
My Floam Day mani consists of two coats Spoiled I’m So Jaded and two coats of Nail-Venturous Floam topped off with two coats of Seche Vite. I was only able to get one decentish picture of my full Floam mani indoors because my camera did not want to cooperate. Floam is made with bright green, yellow and blue matte glitter. It’s a little thick so it wasn’t a total dream to apply but like I said, I’m stubborn. I’ll probably add thinner to it soon to make the next mani a little easier. As I mentioned I used two coats of Seche Vite to give a (mostly) smooth finish as I can’t do the whole gritty thing on my nails. Seche Vite also helps adding a bit of shine. Since I can’t wrap my nails until they grow out from their nubbin state I might use a different top coat next time since there was some shrinkage.

Find out what I used for this mani after the jump!
For this mani I used two coats of Spoiled I’m So Jaded (or Permission to Proceed, depending what bottle you have) as a base, followed by two thin coats of Floam and two coats of Seche Vite. Here are a couple pictures of I’m So Jaded which is a lime green neon with high yellow shimmer.

In the first picture of I’m So Jaded by itself, it looks very matte and chalky but trust me, the shimmer is there.

Here you can see the shimmer. So vibrant and just so good!
These next two pictures are taken before I added coats of Floam to the rest of my nails. I’m not sure why I decided to take these but it’s a good thing I did because right after, the sky opened up and we had a serious downpour. At least you can see I’m So Jaded and Floam both in the sun and with a little overcast.

Look at that shimmer! I know I didn’t do a great job with my base color but since I added Floam and I was in a bit of a hurry I’m not too bothered with it. The brush on I’m So Jaded was all chewed up and uneven like a lot of Spoiled brushes seem to be.

From this picture you can see more of the texture and opacity of Floam. As I mentioned, some prefer 3 coats but I’m happy with 2 and it saves polish!
I hope you all enjoyed Floam Day and be sure to check out Polly Polish and sign up for Polish Day notifications so you can join in the fun!
(I had more to say in this post but I wrote it at work and forgot to send it to myself so I could add it when I got home. I’ll be updating this post with the rest of my thoughts and any info I left out right now.)
Here are the links that I have from the other Floam Day participants:
If there’s anyone I’m missing please let me know so I can update this post!
